BIRTHDAY

It was our good fortune to be able to help Lukas celebrate his 11th birthday on Sunday. As usual, his mother Inese served a nice meal and a beautiful cake.

While I was hoping for some TV viewing of the NCAA basketball tournament action, we settled for the biathlon and some curling (I'm not kidding!). We had a great time and enjoyed the company of good friends.

Happy birthday, Luke!

WINTER IS STILL HERE

March is on the calendar but we are still 'enjoying' the fruits of winter in Cesis. We had a lot of snow earlier in the week but today was bright and sunny. Sunny days don't mean warm days as it only got to about 25 degrees.

All of these shots came from our apartment window or on the short walk to our church.
